RENEWAL OF TRADITIONS

At the beginning of his career, Pramod Thakur indulged in anatomy drawing, using the wash painting technique. During the 80’s, there were only a few artists to use the technique. Now days, the medium has disappeared, but Pramod Thakur’s recent work is a reflection of that medium. Some of his wash paintings are still in his personal collection. Pramod’s acrylic wash techniques shows skill and refinement, his largely monochromatic works display a sense of mystery and grace. Pramod Thakur is a talented artist who provides a crucial link between the past and future by inheriting, extending and renewing traditions in color.
