ENLIGHTENMENT AND PEACE

December 8, Bodhi Day is celebrated because of Buddha’s enlightenment underneath the Bodhi Tree. “Budu saranai!” which translates to “may the peace of the Buddha be yours.” Kanchan’s paintings are a pure spiritual display of Buddha’s enlightenment. The ‘kamal’ or the lotus flower represents one symbol of fortune in Buddhism which is the common in majority of her works. Rising and blooming above the murk to achieve enlightenment. The ‘kamal’ refers to purity of the mind and the spirit. The colors she uses are warm and soft suiting to any kind of interior space.

Recently, she has started with her exclusive collection of Ganeshas. The color palettes are mesmerizing and captivating. One just can’t take their eyes off them!
