Born in 1981 in Pandharpur, Maharashtra, Sachin Sagare is renowned for his art that takes you on a journey through the multifaceted world inhabited by women. Growing up in a rural setting, Sachin was inspired by the strong, hardworking women that he saw all around him. In 2002, he completed a Diploma in Drawing and Painting from the Dalvis Art Institute, Kohlapur, and in 2004, a Diploma in Applied Arts from the Abhinav Kala Mahavidhyalaya, Pune.

With the strong belief that women play a vital role in shaping the values and culture of a society, Sachin’s artworks pay homage to female figures he has been influenced and inspired by. His works are simple, honest renditions of the myriad expressions and yet unexpressed voices of women. Using delicate lines and vibrant hues, Sachin depicts rustic scenes of village life in his distinct, contemporary style. He often portrays women holding flowers in his artworks – a reflection of the romanticized relationship between women and flowers. The radiant women in Sachin’s artworks are enchanting with their subtle grace and beauty, draped in reds, yellows, oranges and deep blues.

Sachin Sagare’s works have been showcased in numerous solo shows as well as group exhibitions across India. Delicate representations of women with serene expressions and soft backgrounds are a trademark for artist Sachin Sagare. The artist has been deeply influenced by passionate and hardworking women around him, especially women like his mother and grandmother who are strong enough to handle tough situations. He strongly believes in the fact that in any society, women be the cornerstone in shaping the values and culture of the society. Thus, he depicts the same in his works. His command over facial expressions, delicate lines and superior understanding of color combination bring out the best in these women.
