THE COMMANDING PERFORMER

After winning India’s first ever reality show in “Popstars”- a nationwide talent hunt, Pratichee Mohapatra became part of the immensely successful pop band “VIVA” in the year 2002. Their maiden concert featured in the Limca book of records for one of the highest audience turnout in Indipop history. She then embarked on a solo career with the launch of her first album- “With Love Pratichee” which celebrated the fabric of Rajasthan in a modern way. One of the songs “Piya Ghar Aaya Re” from the album even made it to the soundtrack of the film “Dor”. Other playback releases also include songs in the films- “Quick Gun Murugun” and “Angry Indian Goddesses”. Her recent release in 2020 “Sab Ho Jaane De” from the web series “Mirzapur 2” has become a huge success. In 2021 she released her independent original song “Aao yaara” which she composed, wrote and sang herself.
Pratichee has faced the camera for many prestigious brands and has also hosted travel and music shows for television. She continues to balance her love for singing and performing on stage with a new found passion in film making and painting.
A little known fact about her is that writing and painting are some of her hidden talents and one can see her work on her personal social media page.
Her painting style is abstract and whimsical in which she uses ink and a pop of acrylic to add some fun into her imagery.

Pratichee believes creativity cannot be limited to one art form and wants to expand and express herself in different mediums.
