Narahari Punna is a self-taught visual artist from the remote village of Mandollagudem in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District of Telangana State, India. firmly believes that “Creativity is the way I share my soul with the world.” From his early years, he fostered a passionate connection to drawing and painting, dedicating himself to his craft and evolving into the artist he is today. His diverse professional background, including roles as a graphic designer, art director for advertising agencies, and video episode director for renowned TV channels, has significantly enriched his artistic prowess.
Narahari Punna’s artwork serves as a captivating ode to the women who have profoundly inspired him, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping society’s ideals and culture. Through his art, he offers forthright and sincere depictions that vividly bring to life the myriad expressions and unspoken voices of women and nature.
His artistic repertoire beautifully captures the essence of Indian culture and the rustic village atmosphere of his upbringing. Using acrylics, charcoal and oil colour he skilfully transforms lines into shapes, shapes into objects, and objects into characters, with each element contributing to a larger narrative.
Narahari Punna, a master at capturing the essence of ideal rural life, folklore, mythological representations, and conceptual nudes of women, skilfully communicates the power of women through his unique modern abstract cubism style. His work is distinguished by a vivid palette of brilliant colors and radiates the vibrating energy of lines and shapes, perfectly capturing the spirit of his subjects.
