ABOUT GANESH MHATRE
An Impasto Master

Mr. Ganesh Mhatre, an Indian artist hailing from the picturesque Konkan region, has seamlessly woven the serene beauty of his surroundings into his remarkable artworks. His artistic journey can be traced back to his formative years, where the tranquil allure of nature left an indelible mark on his heart. During this period, he developed a deep affection for gazing at water reflections and observing the enchanting transformation of lotus blooms amidst muddy pond waters.

As he pursued his art education, Mr. Mhatre drew inspiration from the legendary French Impressionist painter, Claude Monet. Monet’s ability to capture the play of light and the fleeting essence of landscapes greatly influenced him. To carve out his unique identity in the world of art, Mr. Mhatre chose the expressive technique of palette knife painting, also known as impasto, as his preferred medium, applying it skillfully to acrylic on canvas.

Mr. Ganesh Mhatre is not only a versatile artist but also a gifted writer and accomplished art director. His talents extend beyond the canvas, as he seamlessly transitions into the roles of an art teacher and an art director for Bollywood films and web series. With a bachelor’s degree from G.D.
