ABOUT RADHIKA SEKSARIA
Rumi and Sufi

Radhika Seksaria, an artist driven by passion, finds her voice through colors much like Rumi did through words. Hailing from Gorakhpur, India, her artistic journey began in childhood, exploring diverse colors, themes, and forms. Her relationship with the paintbrush deepened over the years, culminating in her dedication to acrylic as her chosen medium.

Inspired by Rumi’s profound philosophy, Radhika’s art echoes the mystic’s emphasis on love in all its forms. With over 20 years of experience, Radhika has carved a distinct niche in the art world. Her expressive strokes, influenced by Sufism, unravel a quest for serenity in a tumultuous world. Through her canvas, Radhika offers viewers precious moments of tranquility, transporting them to a realm of beauty and bliss.

Similar to Meera Bai, the devoted Hindu mystical singer enamored by Lord Krishna, Radhika’s artistic devotion took root in her childhood. Her initial familial pursuit of art evolved into a life’s purpose, mirroring Meera Bai’s transition from private devotion to ecstatic expression. Just as Meera’s devotion overflowed, Radhika’s passion for art became her ultimate goal.

Radhika’s artistic journey shifted gears when she relocated to Mumbai after marriage. Amidst her roles as a wife, daughter-in-law, and mother, she honed her skills under the guidance of a renowned teacher from JJ School of Arts. Her commitment to learning and evolution culminated in her professional debut after fulfilling familial responsibilities. To Radhika, art was a meditative form of self-expression, a priceless blessing.

Over her artistic odyssey, Radhika has given life to countless creations and showcased them in 100+ solo and group exhibitions across the globe, including prestigious cities like London, Dubai, and the USA. Her debut solo show, “Miraaya,” earned praise for its spiritual essence. Immersing herself in Rumi’s verses, Radhika’s art gained newfound dimensions, featuring motifs of birds, whirling dervishes, and even Rumi himself. These elements transformed her canvas into an extension of her soul, echoing Rumi’s mastery of language and emotion.

Radhika’s journey from Gorakhpur to international recognition showcases an artist whose passion knows no bounds. From childhood experimentation to professional mastery, her strokes of color become strokes of the soul, mirroring Rumi’s profound linguistic impact. With a strong connection to Sufi philosophy and guided by Rumi’s wisdom, Radhika Seksaria’s art breathes life into tranquility amid chaos.
