The geometric approach

Pradip Sarkar was born in 1961 Dhanbad State of Jharkhand and is one of the most prolific contemporary artist currently based in Mumbai India. He did a degree in commerce from Ranchi University and diploma in fine arts from British Institute, Mumbai. For over two and half decades he has been working relentlessly on his coveted themes and has won laurels in many events. He has been awarded the Hindustan Times New Delhi – 1995 and Honored from India Art Fiesta, Mumbai – 2015. He has worked brilliantly at various National and International Institutes and has participated in more than 20 group shows, 4 solo shows, one joint show, camps, workshops and live demonstrations such as the Lalit kala Academi, Academy of Fine Arts – Kolkata, Indian Academy of Fine Arts – Amritsar. The Hindustan Times, New Delhi the Millennium Exhibition, Jaipur, Exhibition of art on wheel, Metro Railway, Kolkata, Exhibition of Signature tune, Mumbai, Curenta group show, Jaipur and New Delhi, Exhibition with M.F. Hussain, Prince of walls Museum, Mumbai. Pradip has created a large theme sculpture on open air for Academic complex in 2006 at Indian School of Mines University, Dhanbad. He has also been designed various themes and logos for more then 30 institutions such as the I S M University, Dhanbad Kala Bhawan, Dhanbad, International Symposium on ‘Land Subsidence’, National Polio – Plus immunization Task Force, National Federation cup women’s Football championship, Indian Scientific Antarctica Expedition, New Delhi etc. His works are in collections such as the Lalit kala Academi, Bhubaneswar, The Hindustan Times, New Delhi, Rotary international, New Delhi, I S M University, Dhanbad, Shiksha Vikash Trust, Dhanbad, INSCOL Health care Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh, Lodha Costiera, Mumbai, Abhijeet Bhattacharjee and Sharda- Bollywood Singers, Anu Malik – Bollywood Music Director, Anu Subramanium, New York etc.
